How Bay Travel Started
Bay Travel was founded in 2008 by Iain Robertson and Vincent Derighetti with one 16 seat mini bus after the two decided to use their joint experience in the industry and business. With it’s Fife inspired livery, the mini buses popularity soon helped the business grow.
Their success lead to quick expansion when they began to take long term contracts to offer travel services to, amongst other, Fife College and then Fife Council with Bay Travel now operating a range of local bus routes and a host of school bus routes.
The Story So Far…
Bay Travel is now one of Fife’s largest coach operators with a staff of over 60 “Fifer’s” and a fleet of modern, luxury coaches and buses.
Along with this, Bay Travel continue to offer a full coach hire service suited to any size of group with 49 seat buses all the way up to our newest 85 seat double decker and even wheelchair accessible coaches available to hire for travel, events and excursions across the United Kingdom and Europe
Our Principles
We pride ourselves on offering a reliable, professional and friendly service from all of our staff and drivers. All of our drivers are fully qualified, holding a Certificate of Professional Competence. This is a qualification for PCV & Lorry drivers in which all professional drivers must carry out 35 hours of training every five years.
We invest heavily in our fleet to ensure all of our buses and coaches offer the latest in comfort and safety and are the most economical available.
As a proud Fife business and employer, Bay Travel are also proud to sponsor a host of local sports teams and are supporters of a variety of charities.
